Accelerator is a steel shuttle roller coaster located at Drayton Manor Theme Park in Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire, England, UK. It was announced in December 2010,[1] and it opened on 21 April 2011. It is the prototype Family Boomerang installation from Vekoma. The ride was originally named Ben 10 Ultimate Mission and was themed to the cartoon series Ben 10 until the branding was removed after the 2016 season and replaced with a cars theme.[2]

Design

Elements

The ride has a figure-8 helix, and travels backwards.

Trains

Single train with 10 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in a single row, for a total of 20 riders per train.
