Acelerador Vertical is a steel launched roller coaster under construction at the PortAventura resort in Salou, Tarragona, Spain. It is part of a new development called Ferrari Land which will open in 2017.

It is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe as well as the tallest giga coaster.

Design[edit]

Elements

Black track with red supports. There are three large Ferrari logos, one on each side of the tower. There is also a seating area adjacent to the launch track.

Riders will be accelerated to 112 mph in five seconds.

Trains[edit]

3 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 12 riders per train.
