Búmeran is a steel shuttle roller coaster located at Parque Diversiones in La Uruca, San José, Costa Rica. It is a Boomerang built by Vekoma.

History

In 1997, the ride originally opened at Playcenter São Paulo in Brazil as Boomerang.

Boomerang closed on April 1, 2012, three months before the entire park was shut down. The coaster was eventually reloated to Parque Diversiones. There, it was renamed Búmeran and reopened on November 25, 2012.

Design

Elements

Color scheme

Red track and black supports. When Búmeran opened at its original location in 1997, it had a sunset orange track and blue supports. In the early 2000s, the track was repainted green. During the 2008 season, the track and supports were repainted apricot and the rails were repainted yellow. Upon relocation to Parque Diversiones in 2012, the track was repainted to its current scheme.
