Comet was a wooden roller coaster located at Forest Park Highlands Amusement Park in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. It was designed by Hebert Paul Schmeck and built by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters.
History
The ride opened on June 15, 1941 and operated until July 19, 1963, when the entire park closed due to a fire. It was demolished three years later.
Design
Comet had a 500 foot long tunnel and nine drops, including a double-dip. The tallest drop was 80 feet tall.
