Gao (Japanese: ガオー) is a steel roller coaster located at Greenland in Arao, Kumamoto, Japan. It was built by Meisho Amusement Machines and opened in 1998.

History

Gao originally opened as Hurricane (Japanese: ハリケーン) on 8 March 1979. This version of the ride featured a different layout, including a vertical loop and missing the iconic dinosaur sculpture that now dawns the ride.[1]

Colour scheme

The coaster uses different colours for the track these being; light blue, orange, mint green, light purple, white and yellow. The supports are white.

Trains

6 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 3 rows, for a total of 36 riders per train.
