Iron Shark is a steel roller coaster located at Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas, USA. Built by Gerstlauer, it opened in 2012 as the fifteenth Euro-Fighter in the world and the first of its kind in the state of Texas.

Design[edit]

Elements

Iron Shark begins with a 100 foot lift hill. The first drop is beyond vertical, and is followed immediately by a dive loop and a cutback. After some high-speed turns, the car travels through a vertical loop and into the final brake run.
