HELP

Creepy Crawler is a steel roller coaster currently located at Oakwood Theme Park in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK.

History

The coaster under construction at Oakwood

This ride was formerly located at M&D's Scotland's Theme Park in Motherwell, Scotland, where it opened in 1998.[1] While at M&D's, the coaster went under the names of Cobra, Express and Space Coaster. After it left M&D's in 2015, multiple rumours stated that the ride was sold to Oakwood Theme Park. These rumours were confirmed when the coaster was seen under construction at the park.

On 12 August 2016, the ride was confirmed to be part of a James and the Giant Peach area in Oakwood's summer leaflet. The park later confirmed on their Facebook page that the coaster itself would be named Flight of the Giant Peach. The ride opened on 1 August 2017 and was situated within the new Dahl Land area. Riders passed through the "Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker’s House" walk-through attraction prior to boarding the roller coaster.[2]

For the 2018 season, the theme was removed and the coaster became known as Creepy Crawler. This was due to the surrounding area becoming Spooky Street. The area also contains Witches' Brew.

Design

The roller coaster has blue track and dark blue supports.

Trains

2 trains with 3 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 12 riders per train. Riders are held in by over-the-shoulder restraints.
