Tempesto is a steel launched roller coaster located at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. It was built by Premier Rides and opened on April 25, 2015.

The support structure was fabricated by Valley Iron.[1]

History

Construction on Tempesto started in August 2014, in a small patch of land next to Apollo's Chariot.[2]

Tempesto opened on April 25, 2015.[3] During the opening ceremony, there was a strip of flags instead of a ribbon.

Design

Tempesto is a Sky Rocket II model from Premier Rides, similar to Superman Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Electric Eel at SeaWorld San Diego.

Trains

Single train with 3 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 3 rows, for a total of 18 riders per train. Unlike the other roller coasters which share this layout, the train of Tempesto has an extra car.
