History
Worlds of Fun opened on May 26, 1973.
In 1995, Worlds of Fun was acquired by Cedar Fair for $40 million.[1]
The opening of the park in 2020 was delayed due to challenges associated with the coronavirus pandemic. That year's operating season was cut back to June to September.[2]
