An elevator lift is a style of lift hill that operates in a fashion similar to an elevator (or lift) by transporting an entire section of track, with a train, vertically.

The modern elevator lift was introduced by Caripro in the late 1990s. Caripro also created an elevator lift that could lift two cars on parallel tracks at the same time. In 1999, Mack Rides introduced Matterhorn Blitz at Europa Park. Matterhorn Blitz has an elevator lift that can lift two cars simultaneously on the same track.
