History
In August 1988, Valleyfair announced that Excalibur would be added for the 1989 season.[1]
The ride opened on May 6, 1989.[2] A few years after it opened, trim brakes were added at the top of the first hill. The bottom and first half of the turn were re-profiled in an attempt to reduce roughness.
