Formula Rossa (Arabic: فورمولا روسّا) is an Intamin launched roller coaster located at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Formula Rossa is the fastest roller coaster in the world at 149.1 mph. Riders are required to wear protective glasses due to the high speeds and occurrence of sand storms in Abu Dhabi.[1] Because of problems with the wheels and the high amount of friction, trim brakes were added to the first hill in order to reduce the overall speed of the ride.

Formula Rossa was planned to open with the park on October 27, 2010. However, the opening of the park was postponed. It officially opened on November 4.[2]
ThemeEdit
During construction, the roller coaster was marketed as emulating "the thrilling sensation of being in a Ferrari F1 car".[3]

- Formula Rossa is the last of the Accelerator Coasters.
