Gerstlauer is a roller coaster manufacturer located in Münsterhausen, Germany.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

Gerstlauer was founded as "Gerstlauer Elektro GmbH" in 1982 by Hubert Gerstlauer, a former senior manager at Schwarzkopf. The company designed and installed electrical and pneumatic systems on roller coasters, including those built by Schwarzkopf, BHS and Zierer. In 1992, Gerstlauer purchased Schwrzkopf's former production facilities.[2][3] The first roller coaster built by Gerstlauer opened in 1998.

Products[edit | edit source]

Gerstlauer also designs wooden roller coasters in partnership with Ingenieur-Holzbau Cordes. The only one currently operating is Mammut at Erlebnispark Tripsdrill.
