Intamin is a roller coaster designing and manufacturing company headquartered in Schaan, Liechtenstein. The manufacturer's name is an abbreviation for International Amusement Installations. The company has built and designed more than seventy roller coasters around the world, including the tallest roller coaster in the world (Kingda Ka).

History

In its early years, Intamin sold rides designed and manufactured by Schwarzkopf and Waagner-Biro. The company also worked with Giovanola.[1] The first Intamin-designed roller coaster to open was Jr. Gemini (now Wilderness Run) at Cedar Point in 1979.
