The Python was a D.P.V. Rides designed Zyklon-style steel roller coaster. It operated from 1996 to 1999 at Splash Zone Water Park (at the time called Nickel's Midway Pier). During the 1999 season, it was relocated to Coney Island in Ohio.

On September 11, 2019, Coney Island announced that it would close the amusement park section and focus entirely on its water park. Python closed with the rest of the park on September 21.[1]
