A tilt section is a thrill element introduced by Vekoma. It consists of a section of track which tilts downward on a central pivot point while holding the train, transferring the train from a horizontal position to a downward-facing position.

There are three roller coasters featuring tilt sections. The first was Gravity Max at Lihpao Land in Taiwan, which opened in 2002. The second is Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios Florida, which opened in 2014. The third is Battle of Jungle King at Hefei Sunac Land, which opened in 2016.

Around 2000, Giovanola was offering a tilting coaster dubbed "Terror Tilter".[1] None were built.
