Hello, I am Big Game and I am a new member of this page. Because of the different Roller Coaster Tycoon games and the people which play that games, I think that there should be a park named "Roller Coaster Tycoon" where people can upload the coasters and rides they have created on the game.
Roller Coaster Tycoon page
This wiki is not for fictional coasters and attractions, while RCT is featured on this wiki, its purely going into the game itself and not creations. If you want to share your creations, try Rctgo: https://rctgo.com/
Setting up hosting for ride files is an interesting idea, we had that on the RollerCoaster Tycoon wiki. I think though other websites already do this better. One problem I encountered when we hosted ride files on a wiki was that RCT3 needs square brackets in the filename to recognise it, and MediaWiki (the software this website runs on) does not allow square brackets in file names. Sorry, I don't think I'm prepared to add a game file exchange to the website at the moment
I am not saying to put RCT archives, but put the name, type of coaster, inversions, the POV of the coaster, etc, like a real coaster. Obviously, that is possible. What do you think?
The same with rides, parks and another atractions
To be honest, I'm not sure what you mean. You can always join our Discord and speak to us there, it may be easier for you to explain.
For example, there is the page of the coaster Kingda Ka, with its name, details, description and inversions (of course, Kingda Ka hasn't got inversions). But Kingda Ka is a real coaster. When I'm trying to say is: someone create a park page named RCT, or something like that, where people can put their coasters that were built in RCT. These fictional coasters will have got their own pages with name, details, description and inversions, like the real coasters pages. So, after people made their coasters pages, they put that in the RCT park page and this will make the RCT park like a real park.
I am not sure if you understand me. If not, I'm going to explain you.
Ah, I think I see what you mean. I think, however, that would stray too far from our focus which is on real rides and attractions. There was a wiki with a similar aim on Fandom a while back, but I can't remember what it was called. What you can do, if you upload your ride files somewhere else, is link to that on your user page. We also have a gaming channel within the Coasterpedia Discord server. But I don't have the time to create or run a gaming-focused Coasterpedia. Sorry, and do let me know if you do find a good website for writing about RollerCoaster Tycoon creations.
Do someone know what is the difference between a wing over and a corkscrew?
Hello Lachlan, I'm going to make a page of a fictional park where I'm going to put all my fictional coasters and ride. Could you not delete it, please?
