Alpenexpress Enzian was the first coaster to open at Europa-Park in Rust, Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany. It is a steel powered coaster built by Mack Rides and opened in 1984.


In September 2015, virtual reality headsets were introduced on Alpenxpress. It was the first coaster at Europa-Park to offer virtual reality rides.[1] In subsequent years, more virtual reality experiences have been added.[2]
