History
Arnolds Park opened in 1899.
A dance pavilion named Roof Garden was installed in the 1920s and was used for concerts and dances over the following decades. The facility was closed in 1987 and burned down by a team of nearly 70 firefighters in October 1988.[1] The park's former roller skating rink was then used as a temporary Roof Garden.[2] A modern equivalent of Roof Garden opened in August 2019.[3]
