Monster is a steel inverted roller coaster currently operating at Gröna Lund in Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden. The ride is manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard. It was expected to open on 24 April 2021.[1] However, the opening was delayed to 4 June.
History
The project was codenamed Blue Harvest during its early design and construction stages.
The ride was announced and the layout was revealed in February 2017. Ground was broken in February 2018 with the ride expected to open in 2021.
In August 2018, it was announced that the final heartline roll had been removed in favor of a straight incline.
In August 2020, the ride's official name was announced as Monster, and it was confirmed to have a New York City-style theme.
In October 2020, the ride was topped out with the top pieces of the lift hill being installed.
Monster opened on 4 June 2021.[2]
Theme
The ride is themed to a shadow snake creature chasing citizens in a city.

Monster is a custom Inverted Coaster manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard. It is the first Inverted Coaster built by B&M to not feature a vertical loop, and has the joint lowest number of inversions on any B&M Inverted Coaster, with 4; the only with 3 is Flight Deck at California's Great America. The ride also features an underground station, the first of its kind on an invert. The coaster's rolling stock is comprised of two, 28-passenger trains (one green, one orange) that feature a one-of-a-kind under-seat lighting package, with an estimated throughput of around 1,300pph (based on calculations and similar rides).

2 trains with 7 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 4 across in a single row, for a total of 28 riders per train.
