BuzzSaw Falls was a water roller coaster located at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, USA. The ride was a prototype Liquid Coaster by Premier Rides. It operated from 1999 to 2003.

History

After the opening of Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld Orlando in 1998, Premier Rides would develop their own water coaster to complete with Mack Rides. They would develop the new Liquid Coaster model.

BuzzSaw Falls began construction in the fall of 1998. The ride represented an investment of $7,000,000. It was originally intended to open on May 16, 1999, however the opening was delayed to technical problems. BuzzSaw Falls opened on July 3, 1999.

BuzzSaw Falls would suffer constant downtime. Maintenance crews needed to pump the water, due the ride being not able to run while dry. This would lead to high maintenance demands.

In 2003, BuzzSaw Falls was closed down for a major makeover. For the 2005 season, it was transformed into an S&S Worldwide launch coaster named Powder Keg: A Blast into the Wilderness. However, the chain lift hill and some of the track sections were reused. A car from the roller coaster was also used as a piece of theming on the new ride, with it "crashed" into the station roof.

Design

Some of the track from BuzzSaw Falls was retained and is used by Powder Keg, including the chain lift hill. In addition, a leftover car from BuzzSaw Falls was kept and now sits on the roof of the queue building for Powder Keg.

Single cars. Riders are arranged 2 across in 5 rows, for a total of 10 riders per car.
