History[edit | edit source]
Prior to arriving at Gillian's Wonderland Pier in 1976, this roller coaster operated at Steel Pier.
The original Schwarzkopf cars were replaced with new cars from Wieland Schwarzkopf Amusement Rides & Parts Services for the 2004 season. One of the original cars was donated to the National Roller Coaster Museum, with the others used for spare parts.
In December 2004, the park announced that the City Jet had been sold and was in the process of being dismantled. It was sold as part of a deal in which the park received the Runaway Train roller coaster.
City Jet was planned to open in 2006 at All Star Adventures in Kansas. However this fell through and the roller coaster has since been listed for sale.
