Columbia Pictures Aquaverse (Formerly Cartoon Network Amazone) is a water park located in Sattahip, Chonburi, Thailand. It is owned and operated by Amazon Falls Co., Ltd., under a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The park contains many water attractions based on Sony Pictures properties, and a small number of dry attractions.
History
On 28 February 2012, Cartoon Network Amazone was officially announced as a partnership between Amazon Falls and Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, with an opening set for 2013.[1] The park's opening was soon pushed back to 2014 due to slower-than-expected construction, and the park officially opened on 3 October 2014.
The park was closed on 24 March 2020, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. On 7 April 2021, it was announced that Amazon Falls had signed a deal with Sony Pictures to revamp the park as the Columbia Pictures Aquazone, becoming the first ever dedicated theme and water park to the movie studio.[2] The revamped park was due to open in October, but was delayed by a full year, once again due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The revamped park opened on 12 October 2022.[3]
