Millennium is a steel roller coaster located at Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire, England, UK.
History
Millennium was built by Vekoma and was their last MK-1200 installation. Despite its name, Millennium opened on 22 May 1999, as the park's first extreme thrill ride.[1]

With a maximum speed of 90 km/h and a height of 45.7 metres, Millennium is the 7th fastest[2] and 4th tallest roller coaster in the UK. Millennium has a track switch, for accessing a transfer track, however no transfer track was built and Millennium only uses one train.
Layout
The ride has a square-shaped layout (when viewed from above) which runs round the park's pyramid building. After the drop comes a vertical loop and a sidewinder. Then, the ride enters a helix, which is intertwined with Jubilee Odyssey's support structure, providing some good headchopper moments. The ride then enters another vertical loop, and finishes with another helix, which swoops down to a level just above head height of those in the amusement park, frequently startling the unsuspecting public.
Color scheme
For the 2018 season, the roller coaster was repainted grape purple with green supports and the train was repainted.[3] Prior to this, the ride had yellow track and red supports.
Trains
Single train with 7 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 28 riders per train.
