HELP |
Objectif Mars is a steel roller coaster located at Futuroscope in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The ride is themed around a mission to Mars, containing both indoor and outdoor sections, as well as a vertical drop track, similar to Thirteen at Alton Towers. It opened on 13 June 2020.[1] Originally a spinning roller coaster, the cars no longer spin following a fire in 2023.
History
In April 2023, two people were injured in a fire that broke out in a lithium battery on one of the trains.[2] The ride reopened in July 2023 albeit without the spinning function.[3]
