Namazu is a steel launched motorbike roller coaster located at Vulcania in Saint-Ours, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France.

History

Namazu was set to open on 31 May 2021, but the opening was delayed to July.

The ride officially opened on 10 July 2021.[1]

Etymology

The name "Namazu" refers to a mythical giant catfish carrying the islands of Japan. The fish is kept in control by the god Kashima. When Kashima's guard slips, Namazu causes earthquakes.
