Namjatown (Japanese: ナンジャタウン) is a small indoor theme park owned and operated by Bandai Namco Amusement Inc., located on the second floor of the Sunshine City complex in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo, Japan.

Despite being created by Namco, Namjatown does not focus on video games nor does it contain mainstream ride-based attractions. The park is targeted towards families with young children and has a heavy emphasis on carnival facilities, food concession stands, a haunted house, and a line-up of character mascots made exclusively for the park.

History

The park opened on 6 July 1996.[1]

On 12 October 2012, Namco announced that the park would close on 15 January 2013 for an extended remodelling period, and would reopen in the summer.[2] Namjatown reopened as a single-floor attraction on 11 July 2013, with the park's former third floor becoming home to a standalone anime theme park called J-World Tokyo (later Mazaria, now the Ikebukuro Bandai Namco Cross Store).[3][4]

In December 2020, Bandai Namco announced that the park would be transformed for its 25th anniversary, with a Hugood! section added to the former Mazaria grounds.[5] In September 2021, a Cat-petting area entitled "Nyanjatown" was added to the park grounds.[6]
