HELP

Nessie is a Schwarzkopf steel roller coaster located at Hansa-Park in Sierksdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It was the first roller coaster with a vertical loop to be installed at a German amusement park.[1] From 1980 to 2018, the ride was known as Nessie Superrollercoaster.

Design

Elements

Royal Scotsman's track overlaps with Nessie in various places, and its brake run goes through the center of the vertical loop. Highlander is situated within the helix.

Colour scheme

Dark green track and supports. The ride opened with green track and white supports.

Ride experience

After climbing the lift hill, a large turn to the left follows, with a slight dip in the middle. The initial drop is immediately followed by a vertical loop, then the track rises up and takes another left turn. Then comes another drop, followed by a rises up into a downward helix. The ride drops again, sending riders into the jaws of a shark. Inside the tunnel, the train is braked, then a turn to the left takes it back to the station.

Trains

3 trains with 7 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 28 riders per train.

Clone

Aconcagua at Parque de la Ciudad was a clone of this roller coaster, however it lacked the loop.[2]
