HELP

Rampage is a steel family roller coaster located at Big Sheep in Devon, England, UK.

History

The roller coaster debuted at MetroLand, an indoor amusement park, in February 1988. It was called Roller Coaster until 1996 when a tunnel and special effects were added as part of the rebranding of the park as New MetroLand. It reopened as New Roller Coaster. During a press preview in November 1996 the coaster stalled and guests had to be rescued using a cherry picker.[1] The ride closed with the park on 20 April 2008 and was put into storage.[2]

When it opened at the Big Sheep in 2016, the roller coaster was briefly called Big One.[3] On July 22, an official opening was held and shortly after that, it was renamed Rampage.

Design

Elements

It is a custom Zierer Tivoli with two lift hills and a helix.

Colour scheme

Green track and black supports. Used to feature track with red rails and yellow ties at New MetroLand. Its supports ranged from Red, yellow and pink at this time.

Trains

Single train with 14 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in a single row, for a total of 28 riders per train. The train is stylised to look like an old-school locomotive.

The front car is a dark green steam engine with gold accents and the rest of the cars are light blue "carriages" also with gold accents.
