HELP

Shaman is a Vekoma steel roller coaster located at Gardaland in Castelnuovo del Garda, Italy. Shaman was formerly known as Magic Mountain. Sequoia Magic Loop is situated within the perimeter of this roller coaster.

History

For the 2008 season, the original Arrow Dynamics train chassis were replaced by Vekoma. For 2009, the bodies and restraints were replaced.[1]

It is being renamed to Shaman in 2017 when it receives virtual reality headsets. Alongside the VR headsets, it will also receive a retheme to Native Americans, including a dream catcher theming element encircling the final helix.

The virtual reality was removed after the 2017 season, having lasted only a year. The longer wait times and technical problems where cited as the reason to remove the VR.[2]

For 2021, much of the track was being replaced. The layout of the roller coaster would not change.[3]
