Shockwave was a steel stand-up roller coaster located at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia, USA. It was manufactured by TOGO.

History[edit | edit source]

On July 9, 2015, Kings Dominion announced that Shockwave would close permanently on August 9, 2015.[1] On August 20, 2015, Kings Dominion announced that Shockwave would be replaced by Delirium, a Mondial frisbee ride, in 2016. The ride was demolished for scrap metal in November. Shockwave was the last of three TOGO stand-up roller coasters built in the United States to close.

Design[edit | edit source]

The ride had a single vertical loop followed by a rise into a downward helix. Two airtime hills separated by a 180 degree turn followed.
