Super Grover's Box Car Derby is a Zierer roller coaster located at SeaWorld Orlando in Orlando, Florida, USA.

History

The ride opened on May 7, 2006 and was formerly known as Shamu Express, being themed to SeaWorld's killer whale mascot, Shamu.

Shamu Express was closed on April 8, 2018 for refurbishment.[1] It reopened on May 7, 2019 as Super Grover's Box Car Derby as part of the new Sesame Street land area.

Design

Super Grover's Box Car Derby is the only Zierer Force Three installation ever built.

Trains

Single train with 14 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in a single row, for a total of 28 riders per train. The ride's train was themed as the park's killer whale mascot Shamu.
