Welcome

Hello, Welcome to Coasterpedia! I fixed your edit to the Canada's Wonderland page - the template is simply called {{Flag}}. Also, we use full country names. Thanks for your contributions! Lachlan5963 (talk) 14:22, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yorkshire and North Yorkshire

Hi again, I noticed that you changed the Yorkshire category to North Yorkshire. Personally, I don't think there are enough amusement parks in Yorkshire to make splitting them up again worthwhile. I've reverted it for now but if you can persuade me otherwise, please leave a message on my talk page. Anyway, thanks for your support on the wiki! Banana roll

Hello, thanks for your continued support. I am messaging you because you appear to be confused between the banana roll and the overbanked turn. An overbanked turn is a turn with a banking of >90 degrees. A banana roll then is essentially an overbanked turn that bends back in on itself. After some thought, I think the element on Iron Shark is "just" an over-banked turn as opposed to a banana roll or a cutback.

Also, I'd really recommend you create an account by clicking on your IP address at the top-left of the screen. It really makes everything easier. Thanks again. Lachlan (talk) 21:18, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

First Vekoma roller coaster

I just wanted to let you know I reverted your edit to the Python page because the Super Wirbel actually predates the Python by two years according to the RCDB. You may be making the same mistake as me - The "Built by" near the bottom of an RCDB entry is actually the builder of the trains, not the ride itself. I think it is the oldest Vekoma roller coaster with Vekoma-built trains, although those were retrofitted later. Regards, Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 19:15, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Roller coaster categories

Hello it's me again. One of the things I've done over time on this wiki is to remove the "Sit-Down" category to try and make categorizing roller coasters simpler. I did this because a "Sit-Down" roller coaster is a very generic term that also includes spinning, inverted etc, rendering it pointless (IMO). I have been thinking of a better system, as I understand the one used right now isn't perfect. I am considering having two columns in tables, one for the material and one for most specific type.

I've deleted the category "Sit-Down roller coasters". If you have any feedback or suggestions on how to improve categorization, mainly in tables, please leave me a message.Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:48, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Location categories in the UK

Hi, I set up the infobox so roller coasters in the UK can be organised by area within England, Scotland etc. So use country for England/Scotland/Wales/Northern Island and area for sorting English roller coasters by area (It's probably not worth doing it in Scotland or elsewhaere due to the sparcity of rides.

I've set it up to display the British flag regardless of what you put in the country parameter. In everywhere else (except the USA), sorting roller coasters has remained the same. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 09:47, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
