Chair-O-Plane is a Waveswinger built by German manufacturer Zierer currently located at Butlin’s Minehead in Somerset, England, UK.[1] It has operated there since the 2014 season.
History
The ride (originally known as Wonderful Waveswinger) was new to New MetroLand in Gateshead, and opened with the park in February 1988.[2][3] It operated at the indoor park for a number of years, until the park’s closure in April 2008. It was sold to showman Brandon Bishton who opened the ride on Clacton Pier during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. It then passed to Krystal Bishton, who operated the ride on the travelling circuit in the UK.
