Double-up

A double-up is an element that consists of an upwards climb, followed by another upwards climb. The section of track between the two ascents sometimes has a small banked or unbanked turn. A few examples are on Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point and Regina Ⅱ at Tobu Zoo Park.

Variations

A trick-track double up is a double up that banks to the left or right on the first hill and to the opposite direction on the second hill. It is on Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom and Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion, both built by RMC.

A triple-up is three consecutive upwards climbs instead of two. One used to exist on Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce, although it was removed and a double-up was added in its place.
