Fun Spot Action Park was an amusement park located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA.

History

A small go-kart track had been located at 962 Virginia Beach Blvd since 1958 or earlier, a second track was built in the 60s, and the two tracks were later turned into one large track.[1]

In 1985, the track was called the Virginia Beach Speedway.[2]

Fun Spot America Theme Parks purchased the park in 1992, becoming a sister park to Fun Spot Action Park in Myrtle Beach, and later Orlando.[3]

The park was listed as having "go-kart tracks, a Ferris wheel, bumper boats, and kiddie rides"[4], and a shuttle service was available to bring people from downtown Virginia Beach to the park.[5]

The park was sold by Fun Spot in 1998.[6]

In 2003 the park was demolished and replaced with a parking lot for the Virginia Beach Convention Center.[1]
