Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, originally known as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, is an indoor drop tower currently located at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, USA.
History
The ride opened as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on May 5, 2004. The ride was opened as a measure to fill in more space at the park. It was a similar ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios' Tower of Terror, as it had the same system, but a different building design and the lack of a darkride portion.
On July 23, 2016, Disney Parks announced that the ride would close in January and be re-themed after the Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise.[1] The ride would later reopen on May 25, 2017, as Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: BREAKOUT!, and continues to operate to this day.
