History
In September 2022, it was announced that Joyland Amusement Park would be closed permanently.[1] Shortly thereafter, it was stated that the park would remain open.[2] This did not ultimately happen and the park was shuttered with its rides auctioned off.[3][4] All of the rides had been sold by the start of 2024, although some remained on site while the purchasers were in the process of removing them.[5]
