HELP

Quasar was an A.R.M. Quasar ride, last known to have been operated by showman Craig McKay. The ride was exported from the UK in 2001 to an unknown location.

History

Quasar was new to Drayton Manor Theme Park in May 1985.[1] It was a period of vast expansion for the park, although this ride’s spell was relatively short, lasting only three seasons.

It was sold to showman Michael Phillips in September 1987, who travelled with the ride for a number of years, before selling to fellow showman Joe White at the end of the 1991 season. Following three seasons of operation the ride was sold again to another travelling showman - Alf Vernon.

After nearly a decade on the the travelling circuit, the ride was sold to Barry's Amusements amusement park in Northern Ireland at the end of the 1996 season. Its stay at the park turned out to be relatively short-lived, being replaced by the Cannibal Pots for the 1999 season. It was sold to showman Craig Mckay in June 1999 and rejoined the travelling circuit.
