Twinlakes Park is a theme park half a mile north of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, England, UK. Unlike nearby parks Alton Towers and Drayton Manor, the majority of the park's rides are aimed at young children, and adults without a child are not allowed in to the park.
History
The park was built on the site of the former Tumbledown Farm attraction. In December 2002, Tumbledown Farm was purchased by brothers Chris, Mike, and Phil Bendall, owners of Woodlands Family Theme Park. They announced that the site would become Twinlakes Park, opening in 2003.[1]
A 5 July opening date was announced but in May this was pushed back to September.[2] Twinlakes opened on 20 September 2003.[3]
