Universal Studios Singapore has since attracted more than 2 million visitors in the 9 months from its opening.
History[edit | edit source]
Prior to the construction of Universal Studios, the plot of land was home to a waterpark called Fantasy Island which closed in the early 2000s. Construction of Resorts World Sentosa began on April 16, 2007. The park opened for a "sneak preview" during the evenings of 14 to 21 February 2010.
