Water brakes

Water brakes reduce the speed of the train while creating a large water spray. Funnels attached to the cars shoot water into the air.^[1]

Water brakes appear similar to a splashdown, however in the case of water brakes the track is not immersed and only a small area of the train makes contact with the water.
