HELP

Scenic Railway was a wooden roller coaster located at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach in Norfolk, England and later at the Aberdeen Beach Amusements in Aberdeen, Scotland.

History

The Scenic Railway opened in 1909 at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach,[1] pre-dating the park by a year. In April 1919, the ride was damaged in a fire. It was repaired and reopened in August. The Scenic Railway reached the end of its lease and was dismantled in 1929.[2] The Scenic Railway was relocated to Aberdeen.[3]

Scenic Railway opened in Aberdeen on 4 May 1929.[4] It was partially destroyed by a fire in the evening of 5 December 1940. The fire also destroyed workshops and offices and the Scenic Railway was subsequently demolished.[5][6][7]
