Blue Flash was a steel roller coaster located at a farm in Ohio, USA.
It was constructed as a working prop of the real Blue Flash for the movie All the Bright Places, after filming concluded, it was scrapped.[1]
History
The original Blue Flash, along with other Indiana landmarks, was featured in the book All the Bright Places, where the characters would ride the coaster.
A movie adaption of the book would start production in 2018, with the scene where the characters ride the Blue Flash being included, however, the real Blue Flash was deemed too unsafe to allow the actors to ride, so a replica coaster was commissioned.[2]
Clark Reder Engineering designed the coaster with Skyline Design being subcontracted for the design of the track,[3] manufacturing would be handled by Vision Scenery.[4]
The ride was fully assembled at Vision Scenery's factory before being disassembled and shipped to Ohio where the movie was being filmed.[4][5]
The ride was assembled at a farm to imitate the actual Blue Flash's location, filming took place for a short period in 2018, afterward, the ride was scrapped.[1]
Photos and videos of the coaster would only be publicly shared in 2020 after the movie was released.

The ride is directly based on the Blue Flash built by John Ivers, albeit built with modern technology.
Rather than a traditional braking system, the ride uses strips of rubber mounted to the track to slow the train down.[1]
To avoid the need for concrete footers, the ride's supports are simply connected to large steel plates.[5]
Trains
Single car. Riders are arranged inline in a single row, for a total of 1 riders per car.
