Butlins Skyline Limited, trading as Butlin's, is a holiday resort chain in the United Kingdom created in 1936 by entrepreneur Billy Butlin.
History
In September 2000, Rank announced their exit from the holiday leisure industry to focus more on their gambling offerings. The company sold Butlins, alongside Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels to Bourne Leisure for over £600 million.[1]
Bourne Leisure was sold to the Blackstone Group in January 2021. In September 2022, Blackstone and Bourne announced that they had sold Butlin's to the Harris Family, one of the families who previously owned Bourne.[2]
