Carousel Works, Inc. was a manufacturer of Carousels. The company was located in Mansfield, Ohio, USA.
History
Carousel Works was founded in 1986 by Art Ritchie and Dan Jones. The company focused on the restoration and manufacturing of wooden carousels. In 1991, Carousel Works created the Richland Carrousel, the first hand-carved wooden carousel built since the 1930s.[1]
In 2021, Carousel Works filed for bankruptcy. Former employee Eric Tomlinson purchased the company’s assets and founded All Around Carousels, focusing on restoring and manufacturing new carousels.[2]
Some of Carousel Works other projects included the Greensboro Rotary Carousel at Greensboro Science Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, and the restoration of Grand Carousel from Euclid Beach Park at the Cleveland History Center in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.[3][4]
