Deep Earth Exploration was a Tracked Dark Ride manufactured by Swiss firm Intamin that was previously located at MGM Grand Adventures in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.[1]
History
California firm R&R Creative Amusement Designs assisted in re-designing the ride before the attraction opened to the public.[1] The ride did not open with the park in 1993, but opened on July 23, 1994.[1]
Design
Deep Earth Exploration was a motion simulator on a track. At set points in the ride, the sides of the simulator would lower, revealing physical sets. The scenes were Crystal Caves, Ice Caverns, and Volcanic Caverns.[1]
