Desert Race is an Intamin launched roller coaster located at Heide Park in Soltau, Lower Saxony, Germany. The train launches to 102 km/h in 2.4 seconds.
History
Desert Race opened on 15 May 2007 following an annual passholder's preview the day before.[1]
Design
Desert Race has black track and sand-coloured supports. It is nearly identical to Rita, which opened in 2005 at Alton Towers in the United Kingdom. The only differences are slightly different statistics and a slightly different brake run.
Trains
2 trains with 5 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 20 riders per train.
