History

Desert Race opened on 15 May 2007 following an annual passholder's preview the day before.

Design

Desert Race has black track and sand-coloured supports. It is nearly identical to Rita, which opened in 2005 at Alton Towers in the United Kingdom. The only differences are slightly different statistics and a slightly different brake run.
