Detonator is a drop tower located at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. It opened on April 13, 1996 and is located within the Americana area of the park.[1]
History
Detonator opened on April 13, 1996.[2] In the 1996 park map, Detonator is drawn with three towers, but only two were constructed.[3]
The restraints were modified for the 2019 season.[4]
Detonator received a new top in December 2021.[5]
Design
The ride consists of two towers linked together at the top. Riders are launched to a height of 210 feet at a maximum speed of 45 mph.
