Euroscoop is an observation tower built by Swiss manufacturer Willy Bühler Space Towers currently located at Euromast in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands.
History
The ride originally opened in 1970 as Space Cabin on top of the Euromast Tower. It would be completely renovated in 1983, with the ride and cabin being completely dis and reassembled on top of the tower.[1]
The ride's cabin and rotation-system was replaced in 1994, This new cabin and system was build in-house.[2]
A see-through floor was added to the ride in 2023. This floor would be opaque during the first part of the ride, only to turn transparent when the ride reaches its highest point. The seats contain buttons for riders who are scared of heights. Pressing this buttons turns the floor opaque again.[3]
Design
While the ride itself is only 85 metres high, riders reach a total altitude of 185 metres. This is because the Euroscoop is build on top of the Euromast, a large tower that contains a restaurant.
